Live chat: What your recruitment business should look like to thrive

Written by Jacob O'Shea | May 19, 2022 11:47:05 AM

According to the latest figures from the ONS, the number of job vacancies in the UK is now higher than the number of people who are unemployed - meaning candidates have more choice over the type of role they want and more specific requirements for accepting a new role.

To thrive in today's candidate-driven market, recruitment businesses need to be aware of what candidates are looking for in a new role. They also need to use technology strategically to automate manual parts of their recruitment process so their recruiters can spend more of their time building relationships, providing a great candidate experience and successfully placing candidates.

To help recruitment businesses with these topics, Daxtra's David Mercer joined John Salt from LogicMelon, Gavin Megnauth from Liquid Palladium, and Ian Moyse from OneUp Sales for the first build-up show to UK Recruiter's Recruitment Agency Technology Showcase taking place on the 23rd June in London.

You can watch a recording of the session below:

During the session, each expert shared their insights on:

  • What recruitment businesses need to be doing to thrive in today's candidate-driven market
  • Why providing great candidate experience is key to standing out as a recruiter in 2022
  • The factors recruitment businesses need to consider when choosing new solutions
  • Why good quality data is key to getting maximum ROI from your recruitment tech stack

The panellists shared lots of great advice for recruitment agencies to take away and implement to start winning in today’s candidate driven market.

“You need to be making the most of the data you already have inside your database. You’ve spent time, energy and money getting this data, so make the most of it by using solutions that’ll help you make more placements.” David Mercer, Enterprise Practice Lead, Daxtra.

“Recruiters need to be realistic with companies and hiring managers; it’s a scarce time to find candidates, so recruiters can’t overpromise and underdeliver. You’ve got to be fast to engage with your candidates and have access to tools that can help your recruiters be more efficient”. John Salt, Managing Director, LogicMelon.
