Orion Group Saves In Excess of £1m in Administrative Costs Worldwide

Orion Group, the global leader in providing personnel to the engineering industry, has achieved considerable annual savings thanks to its integration of Bond Adapt – the specialist portfolio of recruitment software applications from Bond International Software – and DaXtra Capture from DaXtra Technologies, the CV parsing and search solutions provider.

The integration increases the speed with which candidates’ CVs can be processed and seamlessly added to the Bond Adapt system, thus reducing the amount of necessary manual administration. This has resulted in annual global cost savings of over £1,000,000 for Orion Group, via a significant reduction in administrative overheads.

Orion Group is also using a second technology from DaXtra. DaXtra Search allows consultants to search through CVs within the Bond Adapt system 60% faster than if they were to carry out a manual search, at the same time as searching all their online candidate sources, such as job boards and social networks.

Whereas previously, consultants may have been spending up to three hours a day searching for candidates on various job boards, they can now perform the search from Bond Adapt using DaXtra in less than a third of the time.

Orion Group specialises in placing candidates in a range of contract and permanent positions, predominantly across the oil and gas sector. Based in the UK with nine offices nationwide, and a further 19 worldwide, the recruitment agency has over 280,000 candidates on their database, and places candidates all over the world. The recruitment agency’s 120 consultants worldwide previously specialised in dealing with contract vacancies, although placing candidates in permanent roles has recently become a major focus.

Since integrating Bond Adapt from Bond International Software nine years ago, Orion Group has been awarded the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise in the international trade category and in 2010 were placed 1st for engineering recruitment in the 'Recruitment International Magazine' poll.
